The Diversity & Inclusion Initiative Award 2025 of the Dutch Research Council (NWO) Domain Science is granted to the Steering Committee of Alice & Eve.
With the Diversity & Inclusion Initiative Award, the NWO Domain Science wants to reward effective initiatives that increase diversity and/or inclusion in the physical and natural sciences and draw attention to (small-scale) initiatives that have led to more diversity and inclusion on the work floor. The Domain Science wants to spotlight initiatives that are a source of inspiration and motivation for others. The award is a sum of 50k€, to be used in keeping with the goal the prize was given for.
Alice & Eve
Alice & Eve is an event to celebrate women in computing in the Netherlands. The event is open to everybody, from Bachelor and Master students up to full professors. The Steering Committee of the event consists of Prof. dr. Marieke Huisman, dr. Cynthia Liem, dr. Sophie Lathouwers, dr. Alma Schaafstal, prof. dr. Alexander Serebrenik and prof. dr. Marielle Stoelinga.
