Abstracts  for poster and oral presentations or for demo presentations at ICT.OPEN2019 can no longer be submitted, the deadline is closed.

You can submit your abstract to be selected for a:

  • Oral presentation and/or poster presentation
  • Demo presentation

Additionally, you can apply for a pitch presentation on the main stage of ICT.OPEN2019. The selection for these 5 speaker slots will be made at the Masterclass public speaking.
Deadlines are:

  • Poster presentations: 14th  January 2019, 14:00 hrs.
  • Demo presentations: 14th of January 2019, 14:00 hrs.
  • Masterclass effective poster design and Masterclass public speaking: 21st and 22nd of February.

Please consider the guidelines below carefully before submitting your abstract. The abstract text will not be printed in a book, but will be available through the conference app.

 

Guidelines oral and/or poster presentation

The focal point of the parallel and poster sessions is the presentation of the work of young researchers. Preference will be given to abstracts by postdocs and PhD candidates.

An abstract for an oral or poster presentation consists of min/max 2 A4 pages and contains the following items:

  • Abstract title
  • Author listing (all authors, principal author first), postal address, telephone, e-mail address.
  • Key words, list a maximum of five key words.
  • Abstract text providing information about:
    o Purpose
    o Methods
    o Results
    o References

If you submit a recent publication, please indicate the submission details.

Guidelines demo presentation

We are looking for new or on-going work on systems and applications that can be presented in an exciting and highly interactive way to the ICT.OPEN audience and ICT companies from small to large enterprises. A special invitation for the ICT business community to attend this session will be distributed.

An abstract for a demo presentation consists of max. 2 A4 pages and contains the following items:

  • Abstract title
  • Author listing (all authors, principal author first), postal address, telephone, e-mail address.
  • Key words, list a maximum of five key words.
  • Abstract text providing information about:
    o the technology demonstrated
    o the elements of novelty
    o the live action part
    o the interactive part
    o If applicable: the equipment brought by the demonstrator
    o If applicable: the special needs or equipment required at the place of the demo

Important notice

  • In case the number of submissions exceeds the available conference facilities, there will be a selection procedure by the ICT.OPEN organisers based on relevance to ICT.OPEN parallel tracks, originality, potential significance and clarity.
  • Participants of accepted demo proposals are invited to present their demo either on Tuesday 19th or Wednesday 20th of March 2019, depending on the relevance of the demo to ICT.OPEN parallel tracks on those days. 1 free ticket will be provided to the main presenter.
  • 1 exhibition booth (1 table and 2 seats) including 40” full HD Led-screen will be allocated per participant. Participants should use their own laptop for the demos. For any special requirements, please contact us.
  • Full internet access (not conference shared) and a power outlet will be available at the exhibition booth.
